Become a NiP Artist
With Your Skills, Join Our Mission
Applications are now open
The Nipple Innovation Project (NiP) is a unique charity dedicated to empowering those affected by nipple loss due to breast cancer surgery through long lasting 3D nipple tattoos.
Our vision is to drive a nationwide shift in the narrative around life after mastectomy and reconstructive surgery and body image by working in partnership with the NHS and medical community to make our services a fundamental part of the recovery journey.
Our mission is to educate on the innovation of high-standard quality medical tattoos so individuals know their options before surgery and to be the trusted, compassionate provider of nipple and areola tattoo restoration services.
To reach our mission, our goal is to have a verified NiP Artist in every region of the UK. This would ensure breast cancer patients have easy access to this service wherever they are. Each verified NiP Artist has to meet a high standard set by NiP. This means each artist works to the same consistent standard and achieves consistent life changing results.
Fundraising by the NiP community, supporters and artists alongside the general public and grants allow us to provide funding for our verified NiP artists to deliver the service for free to those who need it!

Applications are open from Friday 30 May and close on Monday 30 June at 11.59pm.

We appreciate your understanding and dedication to maintaining the integrity of our mission.
Answered yes to all of those?
Then read on for details on what being a part of NiP brings to you, the commitments we ask for and how to apply.
Behind every nipple tattoo is a person who deserves only the best treatment from our medical tattoo artists.
Artist Commitments and NiP Support
Without our Artists we could not carry out this service, we understand and appreciate how challenging this work is and believe that our artists should get paid for their dedication, skill and compassion too. If your application was successful you would be offered to become a service provider for NiP, with an agreed rate for the service and receive an allocation of funded tattoos every 3 - 6 months.
By being part of NiP you would become part of a supportive network of passionate artists dedicated to the same cause and gain exposure and recognition for your work through your association with NiP. Our supporters at Wholesale Body Jewellery also offer a discount to our Verified artists for supplies.
In offering no-cost tattoos to clients in need we do ask for your support in fundraising and raising awareness of this specialist work. Our verified NiP artists are required to hold an annual fundraiser to support raising funds and awareness as well as regular social posts.
NiP exists to ensure ANYONE can access this high quality service. Regardless of gender, ethnicity, location or income.

Not quite ready to apply?
If you would love to be a future NiP artist, but don’t quite meet our requirements yet, there are still ways you can support us whilst you build your experience.
Spread the NiP message
It can be as simple as following us on our socials and sharing our posts – especially ‘Feel it on the first’ every 1st day of the month.
Volunteer your time
Time is the most precious thing anyone has. Our organisation has been run on the efforts of kind-hearted people giving up their spare time to help us with the day to day running of the charity.
Host a fundraiser
A bake sale, run a 10k or launch a Facebook fundraiser. If you’re in the tattoo community and looking to support us, consider hosting your own flash day at your studio.
And finally
Since being established as the first UK charity of its kind in March 2018, NiP has been pushing to bring this service to more people across the UK. Throughout the years, gaining full charity registration and being the first UK charity of its kind to partner with the NHS. We know that together, we can change the lives of so many through our service. We appreciate everyone who offers to help or wishes to be involved with the charity and fully support anyone who would like to join our case - so thank you for your time and interest.
Please note, we are a small volunteer-led charity so our resources are limited — if you have any questions or feedback on the application process please get in touch at service@nipcharity.org
